MOLD

Awesome Image

Molds are a form of fungi that grow naturally and play a key role in decomposition outdoors. This substance are typically found in soil, plants, and dead or decaying matter. Molds survive by absorbing their growth material, posing a potential threat indoors. Like plants spreading seeds, molds release spores that land on moist areas, causing potential harm to structures and residents. Our Mold Services

Direct Fungal (Air)

The analysis of air cassettes for non-viable fungal spores provides rapid qualitative (identification) and quantitative (spore enumeration) assessment of fungal taxa present in samples submitted for analysis. Following ASTM D7391-20, spore identification and quantitation are performed using a compound microscope equipped for light microscopy with a magnification capability of 40x to 1000x. The final lab report consists of a list of identified taxa and their associated concentrations (spores per cubic meter of air) calculated separately for each taxon. MEDIA ANALYZED: Allergenco-D, Allergenco-D Positrack, Air-O-Cell, Cyclex-D, and Micro 5 Microcell.

Direct Fungal Analysis (Swab, Tape Lift, Bulk)

Furthermore, when analyzing the tape lifts and swabs for non-viable fungal spores provides rapid qualitative (identification) and semi-quantitative (fungal load categories by percentage) assessment of fungal taxa present in samples submitted for analysis. Following ASTM D7658-17, spore identification and quantitation are performed using a compound microscope equipped for light microscopy with a magnification capability of 40x to 1000x. The concluding lab report consists of a list of identified taxa and their associated fungal loading category determined separately for each taxon. MEDIA ANALYZED: Tape Lifts, Mold Swabs

Our Analytical Process

Pinnacle Laboratory prides itself on its robust quality control program, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and precision in our reports. Please hover any of the steps below to learn more!

01

Initial Analysis

Our team of fully trained analysts perform the initial analysis of samples submitted for a particular project.

02

Random
QC Sampling

Prior to finalizing the laboratory report, a number of random samples are selected for a quality control (QC) review; these samples are reanalyzed by a different analyst to confirm the previous findings and to maintain the integrity of the laboratory.

03

Generating
Final Results

Once the QC analysis is complete, the results are reviewed and approved by the Quality Control Manager and a laboratory report is generated by our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and delivered directly to our client via email.
